Machine Operator
Location:

Swenson Granite, Barre, VT, is looking for a Machine Operator. The Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of a variety of stone manufacturing equipment that run throughout a normal 8 -10 hour shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities other duties may be assigned
• Use both automated and manually operated machinery to produce a variety of stone landscaping products.
• Ensures dimensions are correct using a tape measure.
• Identify imperfections relative to the production process.
• Keep stone slabs and work area clean through the use of a low-pressure water hose.
• Occasionally use overhead crane to move product.
Education and/or Experience
This position does not require any prior experience or training.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently required to walk. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, push and pull on conveyors, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Lifts over that amount will be assisted mechanically or with the help of another employee.
