Yard Foreman

Position Summary
Swenson Granite Works currently has an opening for a Yard Foreman in our retail store at our Westbrook, ME location. We are in the business of retail and contractor sales of granite and natural stone products used for masonry, landscaping, and building work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials using a forklift.
- Assist customers in loading their vehicles and answer basic questions and guide them to a member of management to finalize sales.
- Collaborate with Assistant Manager and Customer Support Associate.
- Managing inventory.
- Follow the work standards, rules, methods, and procedures (quality, efficiency, and health & safety).
- Ensure that all forklifts are running and in proper working conditions.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently required to walk the yard.
Lifting or moving up to 40lbs frequently and 50lbs on occasion.
Requirement:
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Available for seasonal half-days of Saturday work (April to October) and occasional overtime.
Working Conditions:
- Employment status: Permanent / Full-time.
- Starting pay rate $23.00, based on experience.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday and half day on Saturday seasonally.
